We are excited to announce that our Group Outing Team has booked a cracker of an outing for us on 28th March. The outing is a back-to-back tour of Government House followed by a guided tour of The Royal Botanic Garden.
Government House is the official residence and office of Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW. A guided tour will be conducted through the main entry, with information provided on the history and portraits of past Governors, the Reception Hall and the Garden Terrace.
Ross Clark, a retired Horticulturist who worked at the Gardens, will then escort us on a stroll through the Gardens, where we will see some of the highlights including, the Rose Garden, Herb Garden and Central lake area.
We will make our own way to the meeting point at Government House entry and will assemble around 10:30am for pre-registration for the 11am tour. No ID is required but bags will need to be cloaked. On completion of the Gardens tour we can enjoy tea or coffee and refreshments (not included) at the Gardens Cafe, and then make our own way home.
Unfortunately spaces will be limited to just 15, so book early to avoid disappointment!
The cost for this excursion is $20.
This event will be weather dependent and will be re-scheduled should needs arise. Full details will be forwarded closer to the event.
